Chef Kaushic

Working together with the Yang Memorial Methodist Social Services and the HK Govt. Employee Retraining Board, ICM runs up to four courses per year to help unemployed men and women from the South Asian ethnic minority groups to focus upon a new direction for their lives. The course was designed and inaugurated by ICM under the direction of Kaushic Biswas who is a trained chef and staff colleague Dhan Kumari Rai who has considerable restaurant experience and is a very skilled teacher.

Having now run 12 courses since 2007 we have trained over 138catering vtp candidates. More than 50 of these trainees have now found work in the catering business, others have found work in other trades and some simply gained confidence in kitchen skills. All of them come from a variety of faiths and it has been a joy that more than 20 of our trainees committed their lives to Jesus.

Sponsoring a TRainee

It costs about HKD15,000 per month for us to operate Taste of Grace so that all trainees can receive the course free of any costs to them. We do need support to cover these costs and so we are looking for sponsorship that can be linked to providing the whole cost for 3 - 6 moths for one trainee or part of the cost.

cateringIf you would like more information of how this canbe done please contact Martin Radford or Kaushic Biswas at Inner City Ministries

We would love to hear from you.  Your support would be a blessing in the lives of those whom we seek to transform throught this project. Please pray for the project.
